There is no age restriction for cars to be imported from Ireland to Japan.
Ireland is a left-hand traffic country, which means that right-hand drive vehicles are allowed in the country.
Vehicles older than 4 years old entering Ireland should go through the National Car Test (NCT). This applies even if the vehicles have received any test abroad previously.
10% custom duty is applied on the used vehicles
A VAT of 21% is applied on the used vehicles
Vehicle registration tax (VAT) is applied based on the automotive industry's open market selling price (OMSP).
OMSP depends upon factors such as engine size, model, market value, roadworthiness condition, and year of the vehicle.
Shipping is 700 to 900 Euros, depending upon the vehicle’s size
