Age Restriction

There is no age restriction on the import of vehicles in Mongolia.

Right-hand Drive Vehicle

Being a left-hand drive country, Mongolia allows the importation of right-hand drive vehicles with valid import licenses.

Inspection

No specific inspection on the import of used vehicles is required.

Mongolian Customs and Taxes

There are no customs restrictions on imported vehicles in Mongolia; however, a Special Tax is charged depending on the vehicle’s manufacturing year.

Advance Payments in Mongolia

From the reservation date, our customers have up to three working days to make the full payment. In case the payment is not received, the reservation will be canceled. The shipping procedure of the vehicle begins after receiving 70% or more of the payment. In case of partial deposit (70%), customers must pay the remaining amount within five working days after the ship has left the departure port. In case of failure to make the payment on time, the vehicle could be resold and your deposit confiscated to cover the damage caused. Please make sure to plan your finances accordingly before placing an order as SAT Japan will not be responsible for any complaints.
